In addition to new landscaping, street furniture, public art and brick sidewalks and intersections, all 117 block faces on the Portland Mall are being reviewed by architects and designers in an effort to further enhance the “downtown experience.”
Following are some examples of proposed improvements to buildings, storefronts and streetscapes along the Mall:
Architectural, landscaping and lighting enhancements increase visibility
Abandoned restroom entryway converted into an open-air convenience store
The block-by-block improvement program is a partnership among TriMet, the Portland Development Commission and Portland Mall Management, Inc.
